Course Director
Björn Asplind, M.Sc Naval Architect
CEO and Founder, Technocean Consulting AB, Gothenburg, Sweden
Björn has over 15 years’ experience as a Naval Architect and has worked for large technical and R&D organisations over the years. He has managed the procurement and installation of both open and closed loop scrubbers. Björn is currently leading several scrubber conversion projects for the Swedish Ship Owner Stena. The assignment covers both technical, economical and contractual aspects of the project. He has evaluated almost all the major scrubber suppliers such as Wärtsilä, Alfa Laval, Yara, Ecospray, CR Ocean Engineering, Langh Scrubbers, STI, Clean Marine and AEC Maritime.
